
Student-Athlete Spotlight: Dylan Boisclair

Dylan Boisclair starts his junior season with the Millersville baseball team in the spring. A native of Cumberland, R.I, Boisclair logged seven starts during the 2015 season and eight innings of relief during the PSAC Tournament and NCAA regional last season.
What is your favorite place on campus and why?
My favorite place on campus is the baseball field. It's where I feel the most calm and all the stress of college just goes away.
Who is your favorite professor/class and why?
Joseph Galante for Business Law, even though he is a hard professor he makes you understand the material. You come out of that class with a better understanding and appreciation for the subject matter.
Why did you choose your major?
I chose my major because I love business, a lot of my family members graduated with business degrees. I also want to use my business degree to open up a baseball academy.
Why did you choose Millersville?
I chose Millersville because it had my major and I was coming here to play baseball. It's also known to be one of the best universities in Pennsylvania for education.
What is a day in the life of a student-athlete?
The day in the life of a student-athlete is we wake up for our 5:30 a.m. lift, after we lift we have class. After class we have practice usually around three to six then we go and eat dinner. Some of us have study hall where we finish up our work for classes, then we do it all again the next day.
What is your favorite sports team?
My favorite sports team is the Boston Red Sox.
Who is your favorite professional athlete and why?
Jon Lester is my favorite athlete because I try and idolize him when he pitches. He has perfect mechanics when throwing the baseball.
What is your favorite sports memory?
When my dad was teaching me how to play baseball. He would always play catch with me in the backyard whenever I asked him to.
Who do you most admire and why?
I most admire my father because he is always there for me when I need him and he gives great life advice.
Where will you be in 10 years?
I want to see myself still playing baseball in 10 years, but if not I see myself owning my own business.
What is the most significant challenge you've overcome?
The most significant challenge I have overcome is being seven hours from home and not seeing my family.
Best piece of advice you've received?
The best piece of advice I have ever received was to never stop trying and to give all I've got in everything I do.
What is favorite place you've visited/vacationed?
Going on a cruise to the Bahamas and St. Thomas for two weeks!
The one thing you cannot live without?
I cannot live without my pillow, I bring it everywhere I go.
What hobby or ability might we not know you have?
I really love to go fishing.
What is at the top of your "bucket list?"
On top of my bucket list is to go skydiving one day.

The Rookie
Who is your favorite band/artist and have you seen them live?
The Zac Brown Band. Yes I have seen them live!

T-bone steak and garlic mashed potatoes
