
Several Personal Records Smashed at ESU All-American Invitational

East Stroudsburg, Pa. – The Millersville women's track and field team produced eight top-5 finishes at the All-American Invitational. The meet was highlighted with several personal records by Marauder athletes including Abigail Daley winning the 3000-meter steeple with the second fastest time in program history.
Daley crossed the finish line with a recorded time of 11:25.88. The mark ranks the sophomore second on the PSAC Outdoor Performance List.
Erin Madison continued her stellar junior season by winning the 800-meter run with a time of 2:19.36. Madison edged out Bloomsburg sprinter Teresa Ortiz by .08 and the winning time marked a personal best as well. Madison also competed in the 100-meter hurdles where she placed third. The junior crossed the finish line with 15.07 recorded time.
Teammate Arianna Camel also competed in the 100-meter hurdles and scored the Marauders a second place finish. Camel finished the event with a 14.84 mark, which represented a new personal best for the sophomore.
In the pole vault, Erin Harman was third (3.50 meters), Jessica White finished seventh (2.74 meters) and Carley Ott tied for 10th (2.43 meters). Harman's mark represented a new Millersville school record in the event.
Amanda Myers recorded her third top-5 finish of the spring season in the javelin throw. The top throw Myers produced traveled 39.47 meters, which was good for third in Saturday's meet.
Jess Fritsche competed in the triple jump and was able to match a personal best distance. Fritche's top effort was measured at 10.82 meters and was good for a third place finish.
Millersville had a pair of top-5 finishes in the hammer throw. Vanessa Hower and Ann Kovacs finished third and fourth respectively. Hower's top throw traveled 49.83 meters and was season best toss for the Mifflintown, Pa. native. Kovacs top heave was measured at 49.46 meters.
The Marauders will next compete at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa. on April 23.
