Series Information
Series vs. Shepherd: 5-8
Last Season: 0-2
First Meeting: 1990 (Ville 3, Shepherd 2)
Last Meeting: 2014 (Shepherd 2, Ville 1)

• The Millersville softball team is coming home from a pair of heartbreaking losses at West Chester on Monday. The Golden Rams walked off with wins in both games as they took game one 4-1 in the bottom of the 10th and game two 3-2 in the bottom of the seventh.

• Shepherd is in the midst of an 18-game road trip that will conclude on Wednesday afternoon at Millersville Softball Field. The Rams last home game was back on March 23 and they have gone 6-8 so far on the road trip with two games against Urbana canceled on April 3.

• Junior shortstop Jordan Sheffield has been on a tear as of late and during the Marauders' last four games, she is a combined 7-for-13 with four runs scored, four RBIs, two home runs, one double, one walk, and a hit-by-pitch. Her home run on Monday at West Chester gave her four for the season and 11 for her career, which is tied for second in the program's record book, only one behind Angela Lutz's all-time mark set in 1993.

• Freshman standout Cassidy Pinchorski's rookie season continues to impress. The Williams Valley product is first in the PSAC in complete games (16), first in strikeouts (90), second in innings pitched (119), tied for fifth in shutouts (3), tied for sixth in strikeouts looking (19), tied for eighth in wins (7), tied for eighth in opponent's batting average (.219), and 10th in ERA (1.82).

• Shepherd is one of the best offensive teams in all of the Mountain East and is ranked third in the conference in batting average with a clip of .323. However, the pitching hasn't gone nearly as smooth for the Rams who have a team ERA of 4.27, which is ninth in the league out of 12 teams.

• Millersville will look to get its bats on track and it couldn't come at a better time as Shepherd's pitching staff has been below average and has given up at least five runs in a game 16 times this season including surrendering at least 10 runs twice.

• The player to watch with a bat in her hands will be senior infielder, Savannah Snyder. Snyder is first on the team and ninth in the conference in batting average at .405 (34-of-84). The Elkton, Md., native has also scored 16 runs to go with eight doubles, two home runs, 24 RBIs, nine walks, and only three strikeouts in those 84 at-bats.

• The other hitter batting above .400 for Shepherd is freshman outfielder, Jessica Robinson. Robinson is hitting .400 flat (14-for-35) with five runs scored, one double, two home runs, eight RBIs, and three walks.

• When looking at the Division II statistical rankings, the Rams are among the nation's top 60 in multiple categories. They are 33rd in doubles per game (1.7), 50th in batting average, 57th in slugging percentage (.474), and 60th in runs scored per game (5.9). On the other side, Millersville's strength continues to be its pitching as the Marauders are 49th in the country in team ERA at 2.50.
