Women's Golf Wins Second Tournament in a Row; Wharton and Weber Share Medalist Honors

Millersville, Pa. - Two spring tournaments and two wins. The Millersville women's golf team pushed its win total to three for the 2014-15 season while freshman Shannon Weber increased her tournament title total to four and Jaimie Wharton earned medalist honors for the first time this season.
The Marauders' team score of 343 was led by Weber and Wharton who both shot an 11-over-par 83 to put themselves atop the leaderboard. Behind those two, Danielle Freed shot an 86 (tied for fourth), Jennifer Gentry turned in a 91 (eighth) and Kendal Olear (ninth) rounded out the team scoring for Millersville with a 92.
Lauren Capoferri and Cara Geiger competed as individuals and both tied for 16th with a 104.
Tuesday, the Marauders travel to Wayne, Pa. for the Eastern Invitational.
