'Ville women's golf takes second at Husky Spring Invitational

DANVILLE, Pa. - With two golfers in the top 10, the Millersville women's golf team placed second out of 10 teams at Thursday's Husky Spring Invitational.
Millersville finished just six shots behind Bloomsburg but finished in front of five other PSAC programs on the par-72 Frosty Valley course. The Marauders posted a 62-over total, edging third-place Kutztown by four shots.
Erica Gerner led the Marauders with an 8-over 80, placing third, just two strokes out of first place. Ashden Stitt scored her seventh top-10 finish in eight events, tying for fifth with an 83.
Millersville's scoring also included Olivia Diamond tying for 18th with a 93 and Lex Pfeufer tying for 20th with a 94. Rachel Schuda, in the field as an individual, shot a 92 and tied for 15th.
Millersville competes in the Kutztown Spring Invitational on April 12.
