Millersville, Pa. – The 2015 PSAC Championships are just a few days away and the Millersville women's swimming team has high hopes entering the event.
The championships will be held at Graham Aquatic Center in York, Pa. on Feb. 19-22. The Marauders will feature eight different swimmers that qualified for the event at different points during the 2014-15 regular season.
According to head coach Kyle Almoney, each one of his underclassman swimmers has big meet experience underneath their belts and he expects quality results from each.
"We have been tapering getting ready for the meet, and I think the underclassmen have all had big meet experience so I think as a coach, I've been stressing keeping things as normal as possible to keep them focused going into the meet," Almoney said.
The Marauders will look to build off of their 10th-place overall finish a season ago at the 2014 PSAC Swimming Championships. Millersville's 92 points were the third most under the leadership of Kyle Almoney and it also marked the third-straight year that the Marauders have totaled 90 or more points. The Black and Gold will look to become the first Marauder team to finish inside the top-10 since 2004 when team scores were first archived.
