Complete Game Notes (.PDF)GAME OVERVIEW• The Millersville women's basketball team has an important meeting coming up with Lock Haven with some serious playoff implications. Currently, the Marauders are holding onto the sixth and final PSAC Tournament spot in the East while the Bald Eagles are on the outside looking in but trail Millersville by just a half game in seventh place. If Lock Haven wins this matchup, the teams will switch places and the Marauders' 18-straight conference tournament appearances will be in jeopardy with two games remaining. The Bald Eagles also took the teams' first meeting in January so they would hold the tiebreaker if they won on Saturday.
• Lock Haven hasn't defeated Millersville two times in a row since the 1978-79 season and the Bald Eagles last home win over the Marauders came on Dec. 4, 2005 with a score of 49-37. Since that contest, Millersville has taken nine of 10 between with the two teams but Lock Haven has the last laugh right now with a win in Pucillo on Jan. 14.
• Lock haven is coming of a one-point, 59-58 win over Kutztown on Wednesday at home inside Thomas Fieldhouse. The Bald Eagles' J.J. Hilliard went off for 18 points in that game on 8-of-14 shooting while Sami Lane turned in a 16-point performance and Marrysa Moyer added a double double with 14 points and 12 boards. Lock Haven struggled at the free throw line going just 4-for-10 but made up for it from the field shooting 44.3 percent (27-of-61). The Bald Eagles also outscored Kutztown 23-9 off the bench and 38-28 in the paint.
• On the other side, Millersville played on Wednesday as well and lost a nailbiter to Cheyney inside the Wolves' Cope Hall. The Marauders trailed Cheyney by as many as 16 in the second half but crawled all the way back to within one before the Wolves made 5-of-6 from the free throw line in the last 20 seconds to pull away, 66-62.
Shelby Reimer was the leader for the Black and Gold with 12 points while Cooper turned in a double double with 10 points and 17 boards. Cooper had a total of 19 points and 33 rebounds in two games against Cheyney this season.
• Lock Haven has had quite the frustrating season just like Millersville. The Bald Eagles haven't won more than two games in a row all season and even opened the season by losing their first five contests. On the Marauders' side, they were 10-4 at one point but have since dropped nine of their last 10.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT• Sami Lane is the lone scorer averaging in double figures for Lock Haven with 11.2 points per game. Lane is 15th in the PSAC in field goal percentage (.411) and tied for sixth in steals per game with 2.2. Her 48 total steals are also good for eighth in the league. When these two teams last met, Lane was the only Bald Eagle with at least 10 points and had 10 to go with three rebounds, three steals and two assists in 33 minutes of action. However, the guard was just 4-of-11 from the floor in that game. Marrysa Moyer is close to averaging a double double on the season as she averages 9.5 points and 9.6 rebounds per game.
