GAME OVERVIEW
• Millersville enters the NCAA Division II Tournament as the No. 2 seed in the Atlantic Region and faces No. 3 seed West Chester for the right to head to the NCAA Semifinal hosted at Bloomsburg University. The winner draws top-seeded East Stroudsburg, which defeated both West Chester and Millersville to win the PSAC Championship on Sunday. Millersville and West Chester have played five consecutive games as the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the NFHCA Division II Poll.

NCAA TOURNAMENT HISTORY
• Millersville is in the NCAA Tournament for a third consecutive season and is looking for a repeat performance of 2014 when it won the NCAA Division II Championship. The Marauders faced West Chester in the 2013 quarterfinal and again in the 2014 semifinal. The Marauders won both games by one goal. This is Millersville third all-time appearance in the Division II Tournament but it reached the Division III Tournament six times from 1984-1990. Millersville has won at least one game in each of the last two appearances.
• West Chester is no stranger to the NCAA Tournament either. The Golden Rams have been in the field every season since joining the Division II ranks in 2011. The program won the national championship in 2011 and 2012.

ABOUT THE SERIES
• Millersville and West Chester first met in 1948 but met only two other times over the next 63 years as the Golden Rams played at the Division I level for the majority of those years. West Chester joined the Division II ranks in 2011 and won the first five meetings between the teams. Since 2013, Millersville has won seven of nine games, including all four meetings in 2013. The clubs split the four meetings in 2014. Each team won at home during the regular season, West Chester won the PSAC Championship on its home field (3-0) and Millersville won a 2-1 overtime thriller in the NCAA Semifinal in Louisville. Millersville and West Chester met as unbeatens on Sept. 23 and Millersville won 1-0 in overtime on a goal from Arianna Grays. Six of the last seven meetings have been decided by one goal and five of the seven have reached overtime.

THE LAST MEETING (MILLERSVILLE 1, WEST CHESTER 0 - SEPT. 23, 2015)
• The first Division II field hockey game ever broadcast on an ESPN affiliate lived up to the billing as the No. 2-ranked Marauders defeated West Chester 1-0 on a sudden victory goal in overtime. After a scoreless 70 minutes, Marauder junior Arianna Grays took a feed from sophomore Courtney Weaver and deposited the game-winner in the back of the cage.Grays' third goal in her last two games came just 5:14 into the overtime period. Weaver carried the ball to the left of goalkeeper Sarah Krause, drawing a defender. Her pass made its way through traffic onto the stick of Grays who ended the game.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
• West Chester is among the most dangerous offensive clubs in Division II, ranking second in scoring average at 3.5 goals per game and second in scoring margin at 2.14. The attack is led by the trio of Rachal Toppi, Dayle Paustian and Marnie Kusakavitch--all of who rank in the top seven in Division II in goals per game. Toppi's 19 goals ranks fourth-most. Kusakavitch has 16 goals and Paustian has 14.
• West Chester has scored three or more goals in 14 games. The club had a six-game winning streak heading into the PSAC Tournament. During that streak, it outscored opponents 29-6 in that stretch. East Stroudsburg ended the streak by a 3-1 score in the PSAC Semifinals.
• The Golden Rams have split time at goalkeeper with Brianna Magner earning 12 starts and Sarah Krause eight. Magner started the PSAC Semifinal game and played 54 minutes, giving up three goals. Krause made four saves over the final 15:26. Magner has started the majority of games of late, posting a 1.45 goals against average and .723 save percentage. Krause owns a 1.23 goals against average and a .783 save percentage.

MARAUDERS IN DEPTH
• Millersville's defense is a constant, posting a .39 goals against average, which is the best in collegiate field hockey regardless of division. The Marauders have allowed just three goals in the last 15 games. Only one other team in the Division II has a goals against average lower than 1.0. Millersville is on pace to lead the nation in defense for a fourth consecutive season. It has 13 shutouts, which is one shy of the school record that was set last season.
• Goalkeeper Samantha Rumler's .813 save percentage ranks third in Division II and her .21 goals against average is the best and also on pace to set a NCAA Division II record. The current record was set at .28 in 1995. Millersville's individual goals against average record was set at 0.53 by Doreen Frascino in 1985. Millersville is also set to break the program record for fewest goals allowed in a season. The 1980 club allowed 10 in 15 games, going 9-1-5. This year's team has surrendered eight in 20 games.
• The key for Millersville is finding a way to score. Both of Millersville's losses this season have come by 1-0 shutout. Since 2012, Millersville has scored one or no goals in each of the 15 losses.
• Freshman Aliza Mizak is the top freshman goal scorer in Marauder history and currently ranks third among all freshmen in Division II in goals with 10. Olivia Hershey ranks second on the team with seven goals but has gone four games without a goal and has just one point in that stretch.
