Complete Game Notes (.PDF)GAME OVERVIEW• Millersville handed Gannon its first PSAC loss of the season on Saturday but then lost by two to Clarion at home on Sunday. The Marauders now hit the road for the final crossover game of the season. Millersville is 2-3 against PSAC West foes this season and 0-2 in Western Division road games. The Marauders have lost their last five road games against Western Division teams and are 5-14 in such games since 2008-09. Millersville, which averages 76.3 points per game at home, averages a mere 62.8 points on 37.5 percent shooting on the road. Millersville's 3-point shooting dips from 37.2 percent to 28.2 percent as well.
• Millersville needs its offense to click if it is going to keep pace with Pitt-Johnstown--the PSAC's No. 2 scoring offense. Millersville is 4-0 when shooting a higher percentage than its opponent and 3-0 when shooting 50 percent from the field. The Marauders have eclipsed 80 points twice this season and won both of those games. The Marauders have made at least nine 3-pointers in each of the last three games, converting 31-of-76 (.408). In Millersville's six wins, the team has hit 39.2 percent of its threes compared to 27.9 percent in the eight losses.
•
Kelvin Parker scored a career-high 28 points Sunday against Clarion. He totaled 17 in the first half and eight in the final three minutes. Parker has scored in double figures in all 12 of his appearances this season, 24 in a row, and in 25 of his 26 career games with Millersville. His consecutive games streak is the longest since
Charlie Parker totaled 10 or more in 34 straight during the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons. Parker has totaled 429 points while at Millersville (16.5 per game). Including his 410 points scored at Mount St. Mary's from 2011-13, Parker is 161 points away from 1,000 in his career. To reach the milestone, Parker needs to average 11.5 points per game over the remaining 14 regular season games.
• Millersville blocked a season-high nine shots against Clarion and has recorded double-digit steals in six of the last eight games. Millersville ranks third in the PSAC in steals per game (10.0) and is ninth in blocks (3.43). Three Marauders rank in the top 13 in the PSAC in steals.
Kelvin Parker is second,
Shawn Williams ranks seventh and
Eddie Callender is 13th. Callender also ranks ninth in blocked shots, making him the only player in the league to rank in the top 20 in both categories.
• Freshman
Sam Light is becoming a reliable scoring threat. He has scored in double figures in four consecutive games, hitting 36.8 percent of his threes, 41.4 percent of his shots and 18-of-19 from the line. Converting 86.2 percent of his free throws, he ranks fourth in the PSAC. The team's single season record for best free throw percentage was set at 85.5 by Gary Cable in 1959-60. Cable attempted 62 free throws while Light already has 65 attempts.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT• Longtime head coach Rob Rukavina has taken Pitt-Johnstown to four NCAA Tournaments in 25 years and won back-to-back WVIAC titles in 2007-08 and 2009-08. Pitt-Johnstown is in just its second year with the PSAC, though. Last season, it finished 13-13, 6-10 and did not qualify for the PSAC Tournament. This season's club is in the middle-of-the-pack again at 4-5 in league play so far.  Pitt-Johnstown is the league's No. 2 scoring offense, averaging 80.6 points per game. It also ranks second in field goal percentage (.487) and third in 3-point shooting (.392). The Mountain Cats are 5-1 at home but 2-3 against PSAC East teams.
