Charlie Parker, of the all-time greats in Millersville basketball, returned to coach under his former mentor Fred Thompson in 2013-14.
Since leaving Millersville in 2008, the two-time PSAC East Player of the Year and All-American has pursued a professional basketball career, playing portions of three seasons in the NBA Development League with the Reno Bighorns, Los Angeles D-Fenders and the Erie Bayhawks. Parker also played professional basketball in Iceland and Denmark.
As a Marauder, Parker led Millersville to the NCAA East Regional title game in 2006-07 and 2007-08. The 2006-07 club won the PSAC Championship and set a school record for win with 28. As a freshman in 2004-05, Parker helped the Marauders to the PSAC Championship game.
He was a four-time All-PSAC East First Team selection and PSAC East Rookie of the Year. Parker finished his career No. 2 on the all-time scoring list with 1,949 points. He also ranked fourth all-time in assists and third in career steals.
