Millersville Softball Swept by Lock Haven on the Road

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Lock Haven, Pa. - Millersville softball swept Lock Haven in a two-game series earlier this season but Saturday afternoon, the Bald Eagles avenged those two losses with a sweep of their own, 2-0 and 6-0.

The Marauders (16-18, 6-10 PSAC East) have split or been swept in their last seven doubleheaders dating back to a two-game sweep of Bowie State on March 27. Meanwhile, since opening conference play 1-9, Lock Haven (10-21, 5-11 PSAC East) has won four of its last six contests. This is just the third time since the beginning of the 2007 season, though, that Millersville has been completely shutout in a two-game sweep.

GAME ONE RECAP
In game one, the Marauders had just three total baserunners thanks to a pair of singles and a walk. The Bald Eagles did all of their damage in the bottom of the sixth with a two-out, two-run single.

In the circle, Amanda Wink (2-7) had a good outing with just two earned runs on eight hits to go with two strikeouts and no walks. For Lock Haven, Rachel Mouillesseaux (4-11) went seven shutout innings with two hits allowed, five punchouts and a walk.

GAME TWO RECAP
For the day's rematch, the home team scored five in the first and tacked on one more in the fourth while Millersville was again held to only two hits.

Brianna Andraos (11-9) was saddled with the loss after tossing six innings with six runs allowed, two earned, on five hits while walking four batters. Jessie Probst (6-10) didn't allow a run on two hits with a strikeout in seven innings pitched.

The Marauders are at Bloomsburg on Sunday for a twinbill beginning at 1 p.m.
