Geneva, Ohio - Sophomore Kiara Allen set a new school record in the 60-meter dash and ran her second NCAA Provisional time of the season as the Marauders competed in the Divsion II Challenge on Saturday.
Allen ran the 60-meter race in 7.76 seconds to finish second overall in the finals. The sophomore ran the preliminaries in 7.72 which was her fastest time this season.
In the 4x400-meter relay, the team of Erin Mason, Aniya Gibbs, Erin Madison, and Kayla Naughton broke the school record with a time of 3:55.47. However, since the track was oversized the conversion drops the time to lower than the school record. The foursome placed second in the event.
The Marauders 4x800 team took home the top spot with a time of 10:25.93. Shannon Cruz, Taylour Mauro, Megan O'Neill, Emily Leighow ran in the event for Millersville.
Kelli Farris tossed the weight throw a personal best 14.13 meters in the meet and placed seventh in her flight. Her launch just bested teammate Nicole Sokira for the best throw this season for a Marauder.
Millersville will travel to The Big Apple next weekend to compete in the Lafayette Rider Invitational.
