GAME OVERVIEW
• The Millersville women's basketball team comes home after playing seven of its last eight games away from Pucillo Gymnasium and during that stretch, the Marauders split the matchups, 4-4. Millersville last played inside the friendly confines on Dec. 3 when it rolled past Mansfield by a score of 69-51. Most recently though, the Marauders dropped a seven-point decision at Edinboro, 65-58. Edinboro led by as many as 16 in the second half and the deficit was too much to overcome. Aunjel Van Brakle turned in a career-high 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting including 1-for-3 from behind the arc and 3-of-6 at the free throw line.

• Carly Gallagher became the program's 20th member of the 1,000-point club on Tuesday against Slippery Rock. This season, the 5-9 guard has scored at least 10 points in all 10 games and 12-straight dating back to the end of the 2013-14 campaign while leading the team in scoring for seven of the 10 contests in 2014-15. 15 of the 20 players to reach the mark have been coached by Mary Fleig who's first season came in 1990-91.

• These two teams haven't seen each other much over the years and their first meeting didn't come until 1985 when Millersville won big, 80-51. The Marauders lead the all-time series against Mercyhurst 6-1 and most recently played the Lakers in January of 2014, which was the first meeting between the two teams since December of 2012.

• Mercyhurst is only 11th in the PSAC in scoring average at 66.1 points per game but the Lakers make a high percentage of their shots. Mercyhurst is third in the conference in field goal percentage with a clip of 43.9 percent. It is also sixth in the league in 3-point field goal percentage at 33.8 percent. However, the Lakers haven't been a good rebounding team thus far in the season. Mercyhurst is dead last in the league in rebounding margin (-7.8) while Millersville comes in at sixth in the PSAC in that category (+5.1).

• The Marauders will look to take the initiative, especially in the second half. Millersville has outscored its opponents after halftime by two points (346-344). More importantly, the Lakers have been outscored (404-336) in the second period. This game may also be won behind the 3-point line as Mercyhurst is third in the league in triples made with 72 and the Marauders are eighth in that category with 48. The Lakers are also sixth in shooting percentage from deep (33.8 percent) while Millersville falls a bit further down in that category with a clip of 29.4 percent in the 11th-place slot.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
• Mercyhurst comes in having won two of its last three games over the likes of West Virginia Wesleyan (86-64) and Cheyney (57-52). Before that, the Lakers had lost seven of their first eight games to open the season. At home, Mercyhurst has a winning of record of 3-2 but when it plays away from the Mercyhurst Athletic Center, the Lakers have yet to win with a mark of 0-6. Two scorers are averaging over 14 points a game for Mercyhurst including Adrienne Kloecker (14.5) and Natalie Piaggesi (14.1). Piagessi also leads the team in rebounding with 5.7 boards per contest and 63 total rebounds.
