Millersville, Pa. - Millersville field hockey is headed to the NCAA Division II Tournament for the second consecutive year. The Marauders were chosen as the No. 2 seed in the NCAA Atlantic Regional and will face No. 3 seed Shippensburg with a trip to the national semifinal in Louisville, Ky. on the line.
The 17-3 Marauders host the 15-4 Raiders at Chryst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium on Tuesday at 3 p.m. West Chester received the No. 1 seed from the Atlantic Region and awaits the winner of Tuesday's game. The Marauders and Raiders met three times already this season with the teams splitting the regular season series and the Marauders winning the PSAC Semifinal match-up by a 2-0 score. It will be the fifth postseason meeting in the last three seasons between the teams. Shippensburg ended Millersville's 2013 season on its way to a national championship.
The first 100 Millersville University students with a valid ID receive free admission into Tuesday's game thanks to the Millersville University Student Senate. Tickets cost $6 for adults, $4 for senior citizens and military, $2 for students with ID and $1 for children ages 2-12.
