GAME OVERVIEW
• The Millersville women's basketball team is 2-0 and that is largely due to fifth-year senior Carly Gallagher. The East Stroudsburg, Pa., native scored 44 points in the Marauders' first two games and 15 of those came at the free throw line where Gallagher was 15-of-20. The Black and Gold won those two games by a combined six points over the likes of UVa.-Wise (69-65) and Chowan (49-48) as part of the Atlantic Region Challenge inside Pucillo Gymnasium. Behind Gallagher is Shelby Reimer who has developed into one of the most lethal 3-point threats in the PSAC. The Altoona Area High School product scored 20 points in the first two contests, 12 of which came from behind the arc where she was 4-for-10. Those two are responsible for over half of Millersville's points and that will most likely be the case the entire season with Celeste Robinson receiving an medical redshirt.

• The Marauders lead the all-time series with West Chester 45-36 but the Golden Rams have taken seven of the last 11 meetings and have only lost to Millersville twice at home since the beginning of the 2009 calendar year. In those previous 11 meetings, West Chester has outscored the Marauders by just two combined points (802-800) and only 0.2 points per game (72.9-72.7). The Golden Rams are looking for their third-straight win in the all-time series but haven't accomplished that feat since Jan. 24, 2004.

• West Chester returned all five of its starters from 2013-14 including Dallas Ely who became the second All-American in WCU women's basketball history a year ago when she was named an honorable mention All-America by the WBCA. Ely and teammate Brittany Sicinski are returning All-PSAC East performers, who should reach 1,000 career points this coming season.

• Last season, the Golden Rams were first in the league in points per game with 81 per contest but were just 14th in scoring defense at 74.9 points per contest. This season, even though we are only two games into the season, West Chester's offense has picked up right where it left off with a combined 179 points in two games.

• That offense has been led by Sicinski so far this season. She was named PSAC East Player of the Week on Monday. The honor is the first for Sicinski in her three-year career at West Chester, while also being the first player on the women's squad to achieve the award this season. Sicinski opened up her 2014-15 campaign with 21 points and six assists in an impressive, 102-55, victory over Concordia College (N.Y.) Friday night. On the second day of the tournament, Sicinksi went on to tie a career high with 27 points as well as nine rebounds and seven assists as the Golden Rams held onto a 77-72 victory over University of the Sciences, Saturday afternoon.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
• West Chester was picked to win the eastern division with four first-place votes by the league's coaches. The Golden Rams have opened their 2014-15 campaign 2-0 just like the Marauders with wins over Concordia of New York (102-55) and USciences (77-72). Kiera Wooden replaced longtime head coach Deirdre Kane prior to this season after she was the program's top assistant for 10 years under Kane. The Wilmington, Del., native played all four years at WCU under Kane, earning Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division first team honors on three different occasions. During her first season in 1999-2000, Wooden, who played under her maiden name, Kiera Manlove, was named the PSAC East rookie of the year.
