MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Millersville women's basketball program has added nine new players to its roster for the upcoming 2025-26 season, head coach
Kira Mowen announced Tuesday morning. The incoming class includes seven freshmen and two transfers.
After a season that saw three of the four top student-athletes in the guard rotation graduate, Mowen brought in a guard laden group, as seven of the newcomers are listed as such. That includes Harford Community College transfer Maddie Nimmo, who averaged nearly 20 points per game (PPG) and 3.5 assists per game (APG) in 29 games last season. Spring Grove alum Kacie Boyer is tied with Germantown Academy's Gabby Bowes for the tallest of the group at 5-foot-10, while Mansfield transfer Cydney Stanton is the only one listed as a forward.
These recruits are tasked with helping replace a five-player graduating class that totaled 117 starts of a possible 145 in 2024-25.
Kali March,
Brenna Ortwein,
Sophia Elstone and
Makiah Shaw were Millersville's top four in terms of minutes played and the trio of March, Shaw and Ortwein were the team's top three scorers and combined to average just under 33 PPG.

MADDIE NIMMO
PG/SG | 5'4
Street, Md./C. Milton Wright/Univ. of Lynchburg/Harford CC
Major/Academic Interest: Allied Health Technology/Sports Medicine
About Nimmo: Nimmo will be entering her junior year of eligibility in 2025-26. She began her collegiate career in 2022-23 at Division III Lynchburg University before missing a season and transferring to Harford, a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association's (NJCAA) Division I. The Maryland native made an immediate impact, averaging 19.9 PPG while playing 38.7 minutes per game (MPG) for the eventual District 20 Champions. Like March, Nimmo is not afraid to let it fly from deep; she averaged nearly nine three point attempts per game and shot 30.8% from beyond the arc for the season. For her efforts, Nimmo was named an NJCAA Division I Honorable Mention All-American, and her 29-point outburst in Harford's 84–47 win over Allegany College of Maryland in the District 20 Championship game earned her the tournament's Most Valuable Player award.
Why Millersville?: "I chose Millersville to be close to home as well as to continue my academic and athletic journey. I loved how Coach Mowen coaches and I liked the program. I was also very interested in the Allied Health Technology/Sports Medicine program."

About Nimmo: Marauder fans may be familiar with Stanton already, as she comes to the 'Ville after three seasons at division rival Mansfield. She's been a key contributor throughout her collegiate career, playing in 78 games and averaging over 20 MPG in those contests. As a junior in 2024-25, the Easton native set personal bests with 8.4 PPG, 6.3 RPG and 1.7 SPG. Stanton put up 14 points and grabbed 10 boards against Millersville on Jan. 15 for her lone double-double of the season.

She was named First Team All-Section Two by the Big 56 conferences and a Westmoreland First Team All-Star by TribLive, the latter of which noted her 31-point performance against Penn-Trafford.
Why Millersville?: "I chose Millersville because of the coaching staff, their style of play and the girls on the team. The coaches have lots of experience and their style of play is how I like to play. The girls on the team are very nice and they seem to have lots of chemistry together."

Boehm joins fellow WPIAL standouts Berks and
Kelly Cleaver (Union Area) on the Marauders' roster.
Why Millersville?: "I chose Millersville because the team was incredibly fun and welcoming during my visit. The entire coaching staff is amazing, which really solidified my decision to come here."
Gabby Bowes (Via Gabby Bowes)
GABBY BOWES
SG | 5'10
Philadelphia, Pa./Germantown Academy
Major/Academic Interest: Finance with a Pre-Law minor
About Bowes: Bowes fits the three-point shooting mold that Mowen desires from her perimeter players to a T. She tallied over half of her 991 points as a Patriot from beyond the arc, draining 191 threes on 37% during her time in Fort Washington. That shooting touch was even more evident from the free throw line, where Bowes shot an absurd 95.4% for her career. Overall, she averaged 14.3 PPG on 41.4% from the field to go with 5.3 RPG. During her senior season, the Philadelphia native was named First Team All Inter-Ac, a McDonald's All-American nominee and was named Second Team All-State by the Pennsylvania Sports Writers.
Why Millersville?: "I chose Millersville for the family-like culture the basketball team has and the campus."

Pilesgrove, N.J./Woodstown
Major/Academic Interest: Sports Management
About Donelson: Donelson was a four time Tri-Country Conference Diamond Division (TCCDD) All-Star at Woodstown High School and totaled 1,588 points in 109 games for an average of 14.6 PPG. Like many on this list, shooting is her calling card, as 546 of those points came from beyond the arc in addition to her 87.1% mark from the charity stripe. She's used to winning, having led the Wolverines to four straight TCCDD Championships and taking home a South Jersey Group One Championship in 2023 for the first time in school history. Donelson was also a pest on defensive end, averaging 3.3 SPG in her career.
Why Millersville?: "After meeting Coach Kira and Coach Megan, I couldn't wait to go and visit the campus. Once I got there, I felt like I was home, and that I had met my future basketball family! I'm really excited about this next chapter, and I can't wait to get started!!!"

About Moore: Moore comes to the 'Ville from New Jersey girls basketball powerhouse Gill St. Bernard's School, where she played 27 games on a team that won the Skyland Conference Championship in 2024-25. Despite playing on a team with three Division I commits, Moore was named an all-conference honorable mention in her junior and senior seasons.
Why Millersville?: "I chose Millersville because when I came to visit, the current players and coaching staff were very kind. They made me feel like I was part of the family. I was looking for a family oriented team where I could be myself while getting a great education. The campus is beautiful and having a Chick-fil-a was a bonus. I also plan to major in sports psychology, and when I saw they had my major I was really excited. I'm looking to do great things at Millersville and hopefully win a couple of championships while I'm there. Let's Go Marauders!"

She was a three-time all-state selection by the Pennsylvania Sports Writers, making the third team in her sophomore and junior seasons before earning a first team nod in 2024-25. Ranieli was the Wyoming Valley Conference (WVC) MVP as a sophomore and claimed the conference's Player of the Year award during her final two years. Those awards translated to team success, as she led Pittston to a WVC Division I Championship in 2021-22 and 22-23 as well as a 5A District 2 Championship in 22-23. The diminutive sharpshooter (224 career threes) could slot in right away as the Marauders' lead guard with the graduation of March.
Why Millersville?: "I chose Millersville because it was the best fit for me. Between the campus itself, the basketball team, and the coaches, I can see myself fitting in perfectly."
