Box Score Erie, Pa. - Celeste Robinson scored a career-high 26 points on 12-of-19 shooting to lead Millersville past Mercyhurst 64-58 in the Marauders' final PSAC crossover of the 2013-14 season.
Millersville (7-6) held the Lakers (3-10) to just 33.9 percent shooting from the floor and outscored Mercyhurst's bench 32-24. The Marauders improved to 6-1 all-time against the Lakers are are now 5-1 in games following a loss this season.
Robinson's game-high 26 points went with six rebounds, a career-high five steals, three assists, and one block. The sophomore guard's 16 first half points were the most for a Marauder in the first 20 minutes of play since 
Senada Mehmedovic scored 16 in the first half against Philadelphia on Nov. 26, 2012.
Robinson converted a layup at the 13:46 mark of the second half to give the Marauders their biggest lead of the second period, 45-37. Mercyhurst then went on a 13-4 run to gain a 50-49 lead. Prior to that, the Lakers hadn't led since 17-16 with 9:34 to play in the first half. Millersville took the lead back, though, and didn't give it up, scoring 15 of the final 23 points to hold on for the win. Gallagher scored seven points and Robinson added six to fuel the final stretch.
After the Lakers took their first lead of the game at 17-16,  the Marauders used a 13-3 run to take their biggest lead of the game, 29-20. The run was supported by eight points from Robinson while 
Shelby Reimer chipped in a 3-pointer and 
Aunjel Van Brakle added a pair of free throws.
Van Brakle had her coming out party as she registered a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, both of which were career-highs for the redshirt freshman. 
Carly Gallagher turned in 15 points, three rebounds and two steals as the third Marauder in double-figures. 13 of those 15 points came in the second half when Gallagher made seven of her eight free throw attempts.
Saturday, Millersville gets back into PSAC East play at Mansfield with tipoff set for 1 p.m.
