Camel Breaks 60-Meter Hurdle Record at Day One of Bison Open

Lewisburg, Pa. - Freshman Arianna Camel only needed only four meets to make her mark on the Millersville track and field program. On Friday night, Camel ran the 60-meter hurdles in 8.97 and led the Marauder Track and Field team at the Bison Open.

Camel beat Erin Madison's record by more than half a second with her first place finish on friday night. Madison would have rebroken her own record had it not been for Camel's impressive time. Madison ran a time of 9.17, which was a personal best and now owns the second fastest time in school history.

Millersville also had three athletes qualify for the 200-meter dash finals on Saturday. Kiara Allen, Kayla Naughton, and Erin Mason all advanced to Saturday's finals in the event.

Coach Andy Young was also impressed with the distance medley relay result, a finish of 12:57 by Brittney Martin, Aniya Gibbs, Megan Meyer, and Amanda Long.
