Box Score Millersville, Pa. – Millersville held Slippery Rock scoreless for nine minutes and 17 seconds near the end of the second half and used a 10-0 run during that span to seal a 68-55 victory over The Rock on Friday afternoon.

The Marauders (6-5) have taken 10 of their last 11 against Slippery Rock including six in a row. The Rock fell to 2-10 after shooting just 33.3 percent (19-of-57) from the floor and their bench was outscored 21-9.

Carly Gallagher tallied a team-high 15 points, 13 of which came in the second half, to go with three steals, two assists and one rebound.
Yasmin Cooper registered her fourth career double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds on 5-of-7 shooting from the field.
Alexis Martin was the third and final Marauder in double-figures with 10 points and five boards.

Jazmyne Frost sunk a free throw for Slippery Rock at the 11:23 mark in the second half to pull the visitors within six, 51-45. The Rock didn't score again until there were just two minutes and three seconds left to play in the game. Gallagher drained four free throws while
Shelby Reimer and
Alex Stam each added three points apiece during that stretch.

Millersville opened the first half with a 19-5 run and looked like it was in complete control. The run was fueled by a pair of triples from Stam and four points each from Martin and
Senada Mehmedovic.

With the Marauders up 30-16 and 6:34 to play in the first half, Slippery Rock began to mount a comeback. The Rock went into the intermission on a 17-2 run and had their first lead at 33-32. Slippery Rock's last lead came just under five minutes into the second half at 42-41 before Millersville's second half surge.

The Marauders will look to end a three-game skid against Edinboro Saturday with tip set for 1 p.m.
