Millersville, Pa. - Monday afternoon in the final home match of the season for the Millersville men's tennis team, the Marauders were dropped by Chestnut Hill College, 8-1.
The Marauders got their only win courtesy of Jody Sambrick Jr. in singles play. He defeated Michael Humes by scores of 6-3, 6-1. No other player in singles won more than two games. The Griffins also swept doubles play. The pairing of Tucker Mertz and and Dylan Ryan provided the most points in doubles play, dropping an 8-6 score to the tandem of Humes and Manuel Ceniceros.
Millersville drops to 3-10 on the year, while Chestnut Hill is now 14-5. The Marauders' next match is Saturday at Edinboro. That match begins at 1 p.m.
