Elverson, Pa. - Paced by Jaimie Wharton's fourth-place finish, the Millersville women's golf team finished as the runner-up at Tuesday's Ursinus Invitational.
The Marauders shot a 381 on the par-70, 5,886-yard Stonewall North Course. Millersville edged PSAC foe East Stroudsburg by two shots. Gettysburg took the team crown with a 334 total.
Gettysburg took three of the top four spots, but Wharton tied for fourth with a 15-over-par 85. Amber Wharton tied for 11th with an 19-over-par 89. Kendal Olear finished one spot and three strokes behind Rohrer. Cara Geiger tied for 34th in the 40-golfer field.
The runner-up finish is the best team score this season.
The Marauders have two events remaining on the schedule. They compete in the East Stroudsburg Invitational on April 21.
