
Women's Golf Places Third at ESU Invitational

Marshalls Creek, Pa. - The Millersville women's golf team followed last week's runner-up finish with a third-place finish at the ESU Invitational at the Jack Nicklaus designed Great Bear Golf Club on Sunday.
The Marauders totaled a 385 on the par-71 track and finished just 10 shots behind West Chester. Kutztown took the team title with a 331 total. All four Marauders placed in the top 25 and Jaimie Wharton and Kendal Olear cracked the top 10.
Wharton posted a 17-over-par 87 to finish in a tie for seventh. Mindy Glatfelter of Kutztown was the individual winning after shooting a 9-over-par 80. Olear posted a 10th-place finish with a round of 90, and Rohrer placed one spot and two shots behind Olear. Cara Geiger tied for 24th in the field of 35 golfers.
The Marauders close their 2012-13 season on Monday at the Eastern Invitational.
