Hilton Head, S.C. - Monday afternoon against Wisconsin-Eau Claire, the Millersville men's tennis team couldn't take a match against the Blugolds, losing 9-0 for the team's third consecutive defeat.
In the first matchup of the afternoon, Jody Sambrick Jr. was the only player to see his match go longer than two sets, falling to Ryan Vande Linde, 2-6, 6-3, 6-10. Tucker Mertz lost a close first set, falling 7-6 (7-4 in extra points) and then lost the second set, 6-1. No doubles tandem took more than three points for Millersville falling three matches in a row.
The Marauder loss drops the team to 2-4 as the Blugolds advance to 8-4 on the season. The team's next match from Hilton Head is Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. when it takes on Nebraska Wesleyan.
