
Madison Leads Marauders; Sets School Record at Bucknell

Lewisburg, Pa. - Freshman Erin Madison set the Millersville school record in the 500-meter run with a time of 1:18.84 as the Marauders competed at the Bucknell Winter Classic.
Madison placed second in the event and recorded Millersville's best finish of the day. Teammate Kiara Allen set a seasonal best in the 60-meter dash when she crossed the finish line in 7.92 in the preliminaries. Allen placed fifth in the finals with a time of 7.98 and recorded a PSAC qualifying time as well. Allen also set a personal best with her 26.96 time in the 200-meter dash and an eighth place finish.
Middle distance runner Megan Meyer picked up Millersville's second PSAC standard when she finished the 800-meter run in 2:25.92, good for a 14th place result.
Freshman Amanda Long grabbed the final conference qualifying time with her finish in the one mile run. Long ran the event in 5:25.61 and came in the 17th position. Teammate and fellow runner Sarah Fink recorded her career personal best in the mile with a time of 5:37.01.
Senior Mallory Austin notched her own personal best result in the 3,000-meter run. The Avondale, Pa. native crossed the finish line in 24th place and ended with a time of 11:47.77.
Erin Mason capped the meet with a time of 1:01.50 in the 400-meter dash. It was the fourth Marauder personal record set on the day and it landed her in the ninth spot.
The Marauders have one more meet to prepare before the compete in the PSAC Championships. Millersville travels to Selinsgrove, Pa. next Saturday, February 15 to perform in the Susquehanna Invitational.
