
Mason and Madison Pace Marauders at Susquehanna

Susquehanna, Pa. - The Millersville women's track and field team set the school record in the 4x200-meter relay with a time of 1:46.69 and took home a first-place finish in the event.
The foursome of Kiara Allen, Erin Mason, Erin Madison, and Kayla Naughton topped the previous record of 1:47.94 set in 2007.
Later in the meet Mason, Madison, Naughton, and Megan Meyer recorded a team-best time of 4:02.38 in the 4x400-meter relay. Again, the Marauders ran away with a first-place finish and finished more than two full seconds ahead of the closest competitiors.
Madison, a freshman, reset her own school record in the 60-meter high hurdles in the meet. The Pocono Mountain East graduate topped her previous record of 9.54 with a finish of 9.48 and a sixth place result.
Redshirt freshman Mary Stewart took home the third and final first-place finish for Millersville in the long jump. Stewart launched her body 5.09 meters and notched a PSAC qualifying time in the event.
Stewart would also compete in the triple jump and recorded an eighth place result with a jump of 9.91 meters. Teammate Jessica Fritsche vaulted herself 10.36 meters in yet another PSAC qualifying time for the sophomore in the triple jump.
In the 5,000-meter run senior Sarah Fink notched her career best with a time of 19.24.63 and a seventh place finish.
Meyer ran the 800-meter run in a season best time of 2:23.43. The sophomore grabbed a ninth place finish and took home a PSAC qualifying time.
Millersville will take the next week to prepare for the PSAC Championships which will occur next weekend at Edinboro.
