Box Score Millersville, Pa. – The Millersville women's basketball team opened its 2013-14 home schedule with Adelphi on Sunday afternoon, and the Panthers shot a red-hot 59.3 percent from the field on route to a 95-53 victory.
The Marauders fell to 3-2 on the season while Adelphi remains undefeated at 6-0. This decision marked Millersville's worst loss under head coach
Mary Fleig and tied the most lopsided defeat for the Marauders since Jan. 28, 1984.

Celeste Robinson paced the Millersville offense with nine points apiece while Robinson brought down seven rebounds to lead the team.

Millersville's final lead came just under two minutes into the game at 6-5. The Panthers then went on a 33-4 run to take a 38-10 advantage and complete control of the game. The visitors' led by as many as 41 in the first half and went into the locker room up 64-23. Adelphi's offense was unstoppable as it shot 25-of-36 (69.4 percent) from the floor including 6-of-8 from behind the arc in the first 20 minutes.
The closest the Marauders came in the second half was 74-39 as the away team cruised. Millersville was outscored heavily in points in the paint (48-18), points off turnovers (38-15), fast break points (20-4), and bench points (50-24).
Millersville welcomes West Chester to Pucillo Gymnasium on Wednesday night with tipoff set for 6 p.m.
