Shippensburg, Pa. - The Millersville wrestling team opened PSAC action Tuesday with a 22-16 win at Shippensburg, snapping a nine-dual skid against the Raiders. 

The win was Millersville's (1-0, 1-0 PSAC) first victory over Shippensburg (0-3, 0-1 PSAC) since the 2002-03 season. Kyle Loeb and Zach Pincus both scored decisions and Zac Wawrzyniak-Bush picked up a major decision. The Marauders were also helped by forfeits at the 174- and 184-pound weight classes. 

Loeb, wrestling at 133 pounds, took down Dante Steffenino in the first period and did not surrender a point until a late in the third period. He finished with a 5-1 win. 

Shippensburg built a 9-3 lead with wins at 125, 141 and 149. Wawrzyniak-Bush ended the run at 157 with a convincing 15-6 win over Mark Lentz. He scored three takedowns in both the first and third period. Pincus followed that effort with an 8-4 win over Brett Pastore.

Two forfeits put Millersville into a 22-9 lead and clinched the win. Ship's back-to-back decisions at 197 pounds and 285 pounds were not enough. 

Millersville competes at the Mat Town Open in Lock Haven on Sunday.
