Box Score Bloomsburg, Pa. - Katelyn Zapp scored a breakaway goal in the 90th minute of play Saturday at Bloomsburg, giving the Marauders a thrilling, 2-1, double overtime victory over the Huskies.

One year ago, Champayne Hess scored an overtime golden goal at Bloomsburg, and Zapp made the Marauders OT winners for the second consecutive year after more than 19 minutes of extra field hockey. Millersville (15-1, 7-1 PSAC) out-shot the No. 6-ranked Huskies (9-6, 5-3 PSAC) by a wide, 17-7 margin and held a 15-6 margin in penalty corners.

Millersville, however, was held without a shot in the first half, and Bloomsburg's Felicia Domenici scored her 14th goal of the season just 2:29 into the game. Trailing 1-0 after 35 minutes, the Marauders cranked up its offense in the second, forcing Megan Eppley to make three saves in the first five minutes of the half.

The Marauders, who forced Eppley to make 12 saves in the second half and in overtime, finally broke through when Rachel Dickinson assisted Alicia Youtz off of a penalty corner.

Dickinson received an opportunity to end the game in regulation with a penalty stroke. But Eppley denied the shot with just 19 seconds left.

The Marauders controlled the first overtime session, firing seven shots on goal in the 15-minute period. Lauren Sotzin made two saves for the Marauders at the other end.

At the 89-minute mark, Zapp subbed into the game for Hess, and 25 seconds later, she tallied her seventh goal of the season and a win for the Marauders.

Millersville has now won three consecutive games at Bloomsburg after dropping 34 in a row from 1990-2012. The Marauders' 15 wins are the most-ever in a regular season and also puts them two shy of the school record for total wins. The Marauders also clinched a berth into the PSAC Tournament with the victory.

The Marauders host their final regular season home game on Oct. 29 at 4 p.m. against Kutztown.
