Clarion, Pa. - Junior Amber Rohrer paced the three Millersville women's golfers in action at this weekend's Clarion Fall Invitational held at Clarion Oaks Golf Club.
Rohrer finished in a tie for 28th in the 69-player field with a 33-over-par 177. Rohrer opened her tournament with an 87 on Saturday and closed Sunday with a 90.
Freshman Jaimie Wharton, who had finished no lower than second in her first two collegiate tournaments, tied for 34th. Like Rohrer, she shot a first round 87 but slipped down the leaderboard with a 93 on Sunday.
Fellow freshman Kendal Olear landed in 60th place. She improved her score by 11 shots on day two and climbed seven spots on the leaderboard with the stronger second round.
The Marauders travel to the Vulcan Invitational in Belle Vernon, Pa., for a two-day tournament starting on Saturday, Sept. 29.
