
Lied Clinches Second Win for Marauders

Millersville, Pa. - Friday's PSAC men's tennis match between Millersville and Edinboro came down to the final bout on the court. Millersville's Tyler Lied earned a three-set victory to lift the Marauders past the Fighting Scots, 5-4.
The match was deadlocked at 4-4 with Lied dueling Raffaele Fusulan in No. 6 singles. Lied took the first set by a 6-4 score, but Fusulan won 6-2 in the second. Lied closed a win and stopped Millersville's seven-match losing streak by taking the third set 6-4.
Edinboro (8-11, 0-3 PSAC) won two of three doubles matches to take a 2-1 advantage. Millersville's No. 2 team of Lied and Henry Ben notched an 8-2 win for their team's lone doubles point.
Preetham Moras rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles, Ben scored a 6-4, 6-2 win in the No. 2 spot, and Jody Sambrick Jr. earned 7-5, 6-2 victory in the No. 3 spot. Lied's win at No. 6 was just enough for the Marauders.
With his win at No. 1 singles, Moras improved to 8-3 overall and 3-1 against PSAC opponents. Ben also improved to 3-1 against conference foes.
Millersville plays its final home match of the season Saturday at McComsey Tennis Courts against Mercyhurst. Start time is 11 a.m.
