Millersville, Pa. – Tuesday night against Shippensburg, the women's volleyball team was looking for a split in the season series between the teams after the Marauders dropped the first meeting on Sept. 25. Millersville, however, couldn't get the offensive attack working against the Red Raiders, as Shippensburg blanked the Marauders on their home floor, 3-0.
The Red Raiders held Millersville to .103 hitting as a team en route to straight-set wins of 25-21, 25-19 and 25-22, respectively. The Marauders gave Shippensburg all it could handle all the way to the final point, as the home team hit .289 and committed just one error in the final set, despite falling 25-22. The loss takes Millersville to 10-15 overall and 4-10 in PSAC East play, while the win improves Shippensburg's record to 22-9 and 10-4 in the PSAC East.
