Erie, Pa. – The Millersville field hockey team played regulation dead evenwith Mercyhurst on Saturday afternoon. But
Rachel Dickinson, the reigning womensfieldhockey.com's Rookie of the Week, scored in extra time to give the No. 6 Marauders their second-straight road win.
Millersville (4-2) was unable to score in regulation against Mercyhurt (3-3) but dominated the game. The Marauders outshot the Lakers in each period, combining for 19 total shots to Mercyhurst's five. Millersville held a 14-0 margin in penalty corners in the first half alone and a 24-2 margin in regulation.

Rachel Dickinson led the team with four shots each. Manwiller put all four shots on goal. The Lakers' goalkeeper Ashley Wiskup was brilliant in the defeat, making 11 saves. Millersville's
Sarah Dickinson needed to make just one save.
In the 77th minute, Rachel scored her second goal of the season. The unassisted goal gave the Marauders the victory and their fourth win of the season.
Millersville finishes its three-game road trip on Wednesday, Sept. 21 when it travels to Bloomsburg to take on the No. 1 Huskies. The game is slated for a 4 p.m. start time.
