
Rohrer Grabs Medalist Honor at Pocono Invitational

Pocono Manor, Pa. - Millersville sophomore Amber Rohrer opened the 2011-12 season Thursday with a first-place finish at the Pocono Intercollegiate Invitational held at the Pocono Manor Golf Club East Course.
Rohrer fired an 86 on the par 75 course, besting the No. 2 finisher--Alycia Jones of East Stroudsburg--by 16 shots. It the first time in her two year career that she finished as the medalist.
East Stroudsburg was the lone team in the event to post a team score. Millersville's other two competitors did not post scores.
Rohrer and the Marauders return to the course on Sept. 24 for the Clarion Invitational.
