Millersville, Pa. - For some Marauders, a 56 game season was not enough. The Millersville baseball program has 10 players competiting in collegiate summer leagues all across the country.
Ryan Chesler, Jason Long, Mike Perez, Mike August, Tim Mayza, Brian Black, Dan Johnson, Tad Barton, Mark Maiorano and Tyler McDonald are all honing their skills against some of the best collegiate baseball players in the country all while trying to catch the watchful eyes of pro baseball scouts.
Chesler, coming off his first season as the team's starting catcher. He landed with the DuBois County Bombers of the Prospect League, which is a wooden bat league that is comprised of teams from Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Tennessee, Indiana and Illinois.
