Millersville, Pa. - The Millersville men's tennis team switched up its usual doubles lineup, and it worked to perfection Saturday against visiting Dowling. The Marauders swept all three doubles matches en route to a 7-2 win.
In the No. 1 slot, Preetham Moras usually pairs with Drew Slocum, but on Saturday, he teamed with Donald Swantko, and the duo rolled to an 8-6 win. Ryan Knarr and Henry Ben paired for an 8-5 win in the No. 2 spot. Seniors Slocum and Marty O'Hora notched an 8-2 victory in the No. 3 flight.
In singles action, Moras topped Sardorja Mamajodnov, 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1. Dowling picked up victories in the No. 2 and No. 3 flights, but Ben cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at the No. 5 spot, and Colton Brown, playing his first match of the year, notched a 6-2, 6-2 decision.
Millersville improved to 8-5 with the win and sent Dowling to 3-6.
The Marauders host University of the Sciences Sunday in the final home dual of the season. They will travel to West Chester Monday for the PSAC finale. The Marauders have already clinched a berth to the PSAC Team Championship.
