
Marauders Receive National Recognition in Three Polls

Millersville, Pa. - Two weeks ago, Millersville baseball made its debut in the NCBWA Division II Top 25. On Tuesday, the 20-6 Marauders entered the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Division II Poll and the College Baseball Lineup Top 30 Rankings.
Millersville lept eight spots to No. 12 in the NCBWA poll, which is voted on by baseball writers and sports information directors around the country. The Collegiate Baseball Newspaper poll, which is voted on by Division II coaches, placed Millersville 26th. College Baseball Lineup placed Millersville at No. 28.
With Sunday's game three win over Kutztown, Millersville became the first team in the Atlantic Region to 20 victories, and it is the top ranked Atlantic Region team in each national poll.
Millersville No. 12 ranking in the NCBWA poll is its highest since the poll began, and Millersville's last appearance in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper poll came at No. 18 on April 2, 2001. College Baseball Lineup began ranking teams in 2008, and this is Millersville's first appearance in the ranking.
The Marauders are slated to play a key doubleheader against fellow PSAC East title challenger Mansfield Thursday at 1 p.m.
