Williamston, N.C. - Millersville finished off a weekend sweep of WVIAC foes Sunday afternoon with a 12-0 win over Fairmont State. 
The Marauders (5-2) received five stellar innings from freshman 
Tim Mayza (1-0), and totaled 14 hits at the plate. Mayza surrendered only two hits and a walk while striking out one. Fellow freshman 
Tad Barton struck out three and allowed two hits and a walk in three shutout innings. Senior 
Zach Eckley came on in the ninth and closed Millersville's third shutout in the last four games. Fairmont State (7-7) mustered just four hits off the Marauder pitchers. 
It took two innings until the Marauders got on the board. 
Corey Phelan plated two with a bases loaded single, and 
Derek Kline scored when Phelan swiped second base. That three-run inning opened the flood gates. 
The first three batters in the Marauder lineup--
Ryan McCormick, 
Chris Edgar and Kline--all scored at least two runs. McCormick reached base three times, walking once and singling. Edgar went 2-for-5 with an RBI and run scored. Kline scored three runs. 
Phelan contributed a 2-for-5 effort with two RBIs and two runs. 
Carlos Medina went 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run. 
Mike August, who has now hit safely in every game this season, went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs, walk, stolen base and a run scored. 
Millersville has now won all seven games played in Williamston, N.C., over the last two years and has pitched shutouts in six of those games. 
The Marauders make their home debut on Saturday, March 5 against Clarion.
