THE STARTING FIVE
(1) Millersville is coming off of a second-half rally after trailing Philadelphia by six, 30-24, at the break. With the game tied at 57-57, Mashira Newman drained a three-point shot from 25 feet out with 1.9 seconds remaining to keep the Ma- rauders undefeated on the season. It is the second-straight year that Millersville beat the Rams by a score of 60-57 to extend its winning-streak against PhilaU to seven-straight.
(2) Redshirt junior Aurielle Mosley collected her third-straight double-double three games into the season against Philadelphia with 13 points and 17 rebounds- -two rebounds shy of her career-high. Mosley's 22nd career double-double helped earn her the PSAC East Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week award. Millersville has collected two-consecutive athlete of the week honorees just three weeks into the season. Newman earned the award in the previous week.
(3) For the second-straight game the Marauders had four double-digit scorers against PhilaU. Mosley and Newman collected their third-straight double-digit scoring performance while Gabrielle Styles earned her second consecutive. Red- shirt Sophomore Leola Pinkney joined the three with a career-high 15 points to lead all Millersville players in the win against the Rams. Pinkney went 6-for-8 from the field, which was also a career best in FG's made.
(4) The Marauders are looking to start 3-0 against Pennsylvania State Athletic Con- ference (PSAC) opponents for the first time since the 2000-01 season when they started 5-0. This is the first season that all PSAC games will count towards the conference record.
(5) Millersville hasn't faired well against both its weekend opponents from the Western Division in its last meetings. Gannon has won two-consecutive games over the Marauders and leads the all-time series 3-2. Millersville will be playing Clarion for just the second time since the 2002-03 season. The Marauders won last year's contest 66-38 and have won six of the last 10 meetings.
ABOUT GANNON
• Gannon has started the season 3-0 with impressive wins, including a 113-31 win over PSU-Greater Allegheny. The Golden Knights are averaging 93.3 points a game to lead the conference. Gannon has won games by an average of 44.3.
• The Golden Knights have five players averaging double figures, including two starters and three players coming off the bench.Gannon has outscoured its opponents 280-147 in three games.
• Gannon is averaging 24 assists and just 14.3 turnovers per game, while already collecting 63 takeaways this season.
ABOUT CLARION
• Clarion collected its first win of the season on Nov. 20 on the road at East Stroudsburg. The Golden Eagles defeated the Warriors by a score of 64-47. Clarion had three players in double figures, including Emma Fickel who scored 18 points to lead the team for the second time this season.
• The Golden Eagles have had three-straight below .500 conference season and are looking to turn things around. Clarion third in the PSAC West in 2008 with a 8-4 record, 18-9 overall.
• Clarion takes on West Chester on the road Saturday, Dec. 3, before traveling to Millersville. The Golden Eagles are on a four-game road trip aftering opening the season at home.
