ABOUT THE GAMES
· Head coach
Mary Fleig capped off 2010 on a high note as she picked up her 500th career victory on Thursday, Dec. 30 when No. 17 Millersville defeated Merrimack 75-59. She is the current owner of the 10th most wins amongst active coaches in Division II and became just the 15th coach in the division to reach the 500 win milestone. Fleig's club looks to extend its three-game win streak in a pair of PSAC crossover contests against Gannon and Clarion.
· The Marauders saw several career performances in their victory over the Warriors. Sophomore forward
Aurielle Mosley recorded her fourth double-double of the season when she grabbed down 11 rebounds and scored a career-high 26 points. Junior guard
Sophia Waters also registered a double-double with 11 points and a career-high 10 boards, while sophomore guard
Mashira Newman scored a career-high four 3-pointers.
· Millersville ranks second in the PSAC on the offensive glass, out-rebounding its opponents by a 157-117 margin and an average of 19.6 per game. · The last match up between Millersville and Gannon was in the NCAA Atlantic Region Championship last season. The then top-ranked and unbeaten Lady Knights ended the Marauders' season with a 65-48 defeat.
