Final Results
Lewisburg, Pa. – Three Millersville athletes posted PSAC Championship qualifying marks in more than one event, highlighting the performances at Saturday's Bucknell Winter Classic men's and women's indoor track and field meet.
Three Marauders qualified for the PSAC Championships in the women's 3,000-meter run. Sophomore Elicia Anderson finished second in her heat of runners with a time of 10:27.18 and was followed by sophomore Rebekah Moore with a time of 10:48.10, who placed 13th in the same heat. Junior Brittany Arnold finished second in her heat in 10:56.29.
Junior Emily Francisco ran a PSAC-qualifying time of 5:17.79 in the mile, finishing eighth in her heat of runners. Francisco also qualified in the 800-meter run, clocking in at 2:26.88. Freshmen Sarah Mulvey and Michelle Blum placed first and second, respectively, in the 800. Mulvey came in at 2:28.46 and Blum finished in 2:28.56.
Sophomore Chrissy Savage won her heat of the 400-meter dash and qualified for the PSAC Championships in 1:01.86. Savage also qualified for championships in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.12 seconds. Senior Kim Stokes won her heat of the 200 in 28.71 seconds.
In the long jump, junior Jess Rhyner finished fourth, jumping a distance of 4.91 meters to qualify for the conference championships. Stokes, who previously qualified for PSACs in the pole vault, cleared a conference-qualifying height of 3.05 meters to finish sixth. With her height she tied the school record of 3.05 meters. Junior Heather Miller placed third in the weight throw with a distance of 12.66 meters.
On the men's side, seniors Josh Foulds and Jim Boyer, who previously qualified for the PSAC Championships in the 3,000, ran qualifying times once again. Foulds clocked in at 8:56.02 to win his heat, and Boyer finished with a time of 8:54.76 coming in seventh.
Sophomore Keith Ogden, who is already heading to the PSAC Championships in the 60, qualified in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.98 seconds. Ogden placed fifth in his heat of runners.
In the 200, junior Derrick Bass ran a PSAC-qualifying time of 23.59 seconds to place third in his heat. Bass also placed fourth in the long jump with a distance of 6.89 meters. Sophomore Jorrel Nugent came in fifth in the long jump with a distance of 6.76 meters. Senior Stephen Boyd qualified for the PSAC Championships with a distance of 6.53 meters.
Freshman Chris Wallace and Boyd both qualified for the conference championships in the triple jump. Wallace jumped a distance of 12.90 meters and Boyd jumped 13.13 meters.
The Marauders return to action on Feb. 19 at the Susquehanna Invitational. The PSAC Championships begin on Feb. 27.
