
Marauders Finish Strong at Susquehanna

Final Results
Selinsgrove, Pa. - In the final meet before the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships, a number of Marauders earned conference-qualifying marks at the Susquehanna Open Friday.
Senior Kim Stokes matched the school record in the pole vault for the second time in a week, clearing a height of 3.05 meters to earn third place. Junior Jess Rhyner jumped a personal best in the long jump, 5.03 meters, to place fifth. More impressively, Rhyner qualified for the PSAC's in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 9.28 seconds, placing sixth.
Sophomore Whitney Savoy jumped 10.35 meters to place sixth in the triple jump, and sophomore Chrissy Savage placed third in the 200 with an impressive time of 27.23 seconds. In the weight throw, junior Heather Miller set a new season best of 13.49 meters, good for sixth place.
In the mile, sophomore Elicia Anderson posted a personal best time of 5:13.56 and grabbed second place. That mark was the 10th best in the PSAC this year. The distance medley relay squad, comprised of Michelle Blum, Rhyner, Kate Rhue, and Sarah Mulvey earned second place with a time of 13:21.80.
On the men's side of competition, Jeff Robinson qualified for PSAC's in the 55-meter dash with a third-place time of 6.75 seconds. Robinson also won the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.78 seconds, just .07 shy of the school record. Keith Ogden came in a tight second with a time of 23.16 seconds, just ahead of Derrick Bass who came in fourth with a time of 23.28 seconds.
Chris Wallace, another impressive freshman on the track, set a new personal best in the triple jump, placing second with a distance of 13.10. Senior Stephen Boyd followed in a close third, jumping for 12.96 meters.
Junior Jorrel Nugent earned second place in the long jump with a mark of 6.79 meters. Boyd and sophomore Zach Kohler followed in fifth and seventh places, respectively. Kohler also cleared a distance of 1.82 meters in the high jump to tie for third place.
Senior Avery Webster garnered third place in the weight throw with a distance of 15.32 meters. He also placed third in the shot put, throwing for 14.07 meters.
Winning the distance medley relay in 10:49.17 were Jeff Rafach, Anthony Adamski, Andrew Mussleman, and Seth Hibbs. Senior Josh Foulds earned fourth in the mile with a time of 4:29.84. Jim Boyer came in seventh in a time of 4:32.70.
The Marauders head to Edinboro for the PSAC Indoor Championships on Saturday, Feb. 27. Results will be available after each day of competition.
