THE STARTING FIVE
·The 11th- ranked Marauders have opened the season with a 4-0 mark for the fourth consecutive season. Millersville picked up its first road win of the season with a 60-57 victory over Philadelphia on Nov. 28. A club known for its stifling defense, the Marauders have tripped up each of their opponents this season. Millersville has nabbed 48 steals in four contests and grabbed down 187 rebounds. The majority of MU's boards have come from the defensive end with 115 total--60 more than Millersville's opponents.
·Standing at 6-2, sophomore forward
Aurielle Mosley has become a dominant force on both the offensive and defensive ends. She leads the Marauders with averages of 17.3 points, 12.8 rebounds and 3.8 blocked shots per game. Mosley also leads the conference with 15 blocked shots and her 12.8 rebounding average ranks her second in the conference. Mosley also produced a 16-point, 17-rebound effort in MU's 61-51 upset over then-fourth-ranked Holy Family. Her 17 rebounds marked the most by a Marauder since the 2003 season. After registering double-double performances in three of the four contests, Mosley was named PSAC Athlete of the Week on Nov. 29.
·Sophomore point guard
Mashira Newman has also turned in stellar performances for Millersville. She averages 15.5 points per game and has recorded 62 total points so far on the year. A standout on the defensive end as well, Newman averages 3.8 steals per game for a team-leading 15 overall to rank fourth in the conference. Out of her 24 total rebounds, 17 came on the defensive glass.
·As a club Millersville leads the PSAC in blocked shots with 26 total and an average of 6.5 blocked shots per game. Six Marauders have registered a block, while Mosley has racked up a team-leading 15 swipes.
·Millersville looks to extend its unblemished record to 5-0 for the fourth straight season. The Marauders have yet to drop a game to the Devils in the five meetings between the two teams.
ABOUT THE DEVILS
