THE STARTING FIVE
· The 11th- ranked Marauders snapped a four-game winning streak and suffered their first loss of the season Thursday to University of the Sciences in Pucillo Gymnasium. Millersville, which has struggled some on the offensive end to start the year, typically relied on its defense to pick up the pieces. Stifled by a 31.4 shooting percentage and a 14-for-26 performance from the free throw line, however, the Marauders could not find an answer to take care of the visiting Devils.

· Millersville looks to bounce back this weekend when it takes on two non-conference opponents at the Carol Eckman Memorial Classic hosted by West Chester. The Marauders have played in the tournament every year since the 2002 season--the most appearances by any visiting school-- and have registered a 16-4 record. Millersville also enters the Classic with a 10-game winning streak, as the club has not lost a tournament game since 2004 (vs. Concord, 65-56). The Black and Gold also have a connection to the tournament through head coach Mary Fleig, who played for Carol Eckman during her college career at Lock Haven.

· Millersville leads the conference in blocked shots with 30 on the year, averaging 6 blocked shots per game. Six Marauders have registered a block, while sophomore forward Aurielle Mosley has racked up a team and conference-leading 16. As a club the Marauders also rank third in the PSAC in offensive rebounds with 96 total and an average of 19.2 per game.

· Fronting the Marauder offense for her second season, sophomore Mashira Newman has recorded double-digit scores in the last two contests. Against Philadelphia Newman put up a career-high 23 points and chipped in a team-high 18 points against USciences. She averages 16 points per game and has knocked down a team-leading 80 points so far on the year.

· The Marauders look to remain undefeated against this weekends' upcoming opponents. Since the first meeting in 1991 MU has garnered a 7-0 all-time record against Bowie State. A match up that dates back to 1979, Millersville holds a 6-0 record against Lincoln (Pa.)

ABOUT BOWIE STATE
· Bowie State suffered its first loss of the season Wednesday, 54-40 to the University of the District of Columbia. Brianna Taylor registered a team-high 10 points for the Lady Bull Dogs.

· With three games under its belt Bowie State sits second in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association, one spot behind 6-0 Virginia State.

· The Lady Bulldogs take on Millersville at the Carol Eckman Memorial Tournament at West Chester this weekend. The last two match ups between the two clubs have been at the tournament hosted by the Rams, and MU holds an overall record of 7-0 against Bowie State.

ABOUT LINCOLN (PA.)
· Lincoln (Pa.) looks to snap a four-game losing skid to open the season this weekend. Each of the Lions' four losses have come by double-digit margins.

· Two of Lincoln's four match ups have been with PSAC opponents-- Cheyney (72-62) and Lock Haven (75-58). The Lions prepare for two more PSAC contests in Millersville and host West Chester at the Carol Eckman Memorial Classic.

· Sharay DuBose powers the Lincoln offense with 65 total points on the year and a scoring average of 16.3 points per game. She also leads her club in offensive rebounds (10) and steals (14).
