Ten Marauders Qualify for PSAC Indoor Championships at Bison Open

Lewisburg, Pa. – Five Marauders from the men's squad and five from the women's squad qualified for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Indoor Championships on Friday, the first day of the two-day Bison Open indoor track and field meet at Bucknell University.
Sophomore Anthony Adamski won his heat of the preliminary round of the 200-meter dash with a PSAC qualifying time of 22.91 seconds. Sophomore Keith Ogden also won his heat of the 200 preliminaries with a conference qualifying time of 22.99 seconds.
The final men's sprinter to qualify for the PSAC Championships was freshman Jeff Robinson, who garnered second in his 200 heat in 22.94 seconds. In the men's 5,000-meter run, senior Josh Foulds earned second in section two of runners, with a PSAC qualifying mark of 15:46.86 seconds.
Following Foulds in that section of runners was junior Jared Kneebone, who ran for a time of 16:14.25 to place 10th. Senior Jim Boyer placed ninth in section three, with an notable PSAC qualifying time of 15:26.60.
Sophomore Zach Kohler landed eighth place in the heptathlon with a final score of 2,375. In the last men's event of the day, senior Avery Webster placed eighth in flight three of the shot put, throwing for a distance of 15.33 meters.
On the women's side, sophomore Mattie Conaboy placed third in preliminary heat one of the 200 with a time of 28.25 seconds. Finals for the 200 will be completed Saturday.
In section one of the 5,000, sophomore Rebekah Moore (18:35.61), senior Brittney Zuver (18:43.44) and junior Samantha Mulvey (18:49.56) took home second, third and fourth places, respectively. Moore, Zuber and Mulvey all ran PSAC qualifying times.
In section two of the 5,000, sophomore Elicia Anderson ran a PSAC qualifying time of 18:15.15 to place seventh, while junior Emily Francisco placed 12th with a time of 18:29.31 to qualify for PSACs as well.
The Bison Open continues Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Complete results for meet will be available Saturday evening.
