Millersville, Pa. - The Millersville wrestling team began its 2009-10 campaign in front of sizable home crowd, but Boston and Bloomsburg managed to spoil the opener. Boston rallied to tie Millersville 18-18, and Bloomsburg topped the Marauders 41-0.

Both matches began at the 197-pound weight class, and Boston (1-1) quickly jumped out to a 15-0 lead over the Marauders with a fall at heavyweight, forfeit at 125 and a decision at 133. But Mike Greck got things going Millersville's way by holding on for a 3-2 decision at 141.

Greck's win set in motion a five-straight Millersville wins. #J.J. Lester# earned a 6-3 decision at 149 pounds, and Jarrett Hostetter, wrestling his first match in black and gold since the 2007-08 season, notched a 5-3 win.

Jeremy Brooks rolled to an 11-6 win at 165 pounds, and Shane Smith squeaked out a 4-3 decision at 174 pounds to give the Marauders a 18-15 lead heading into the dual's final bout.

Boston's John Hall, however, put an end to Millersville's run, topping Jason Foor 4-0 to tie the match at 18. Saturday's tie was Millersville's first since the tying Duquesne by the same score in  the 2007-08 season.

Bloomsburg, which rolled past Boston 26-3 in the first of three duals on the day, cruised by the Marauders. Millersville failed to score a point.

Millersville will travel to East Stroudsburg, Pa., on Nov. 21 for the East Stroudsburg Open.
