Millersville, Pa. - The Millersville wrestling team, set to open its 2009-10 season in just over one week, is opening its final preseason wrestle-offs to the public. Fans can get their first glimpse of the Marauders on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 3 p.m. in Pucillo Gymnasium.
The wrestle-offs pit Millersville wrestlers of the same weight class to determine the lineup for the upcoming dual matches against Boston University and Bloomsburg. The Marauders boast outstanding depth and competition at several weight classes including 165 pounds where 2009 national qualifier

Brooks is one of four national qualifiers the Marauders have returning. 157-pound senior
Jarrett Hostetter redshirted during the 2008-09 campaign, but enters the season with 104 career victories and needs just seven to pass Randy March (1972-82) for first place on Millersville career wins list.
Sophomore
Shane Smith is also back at 174 after a season that he posted a 32-13 record and finished tied for sixth in Division I in pins with 18. 197-pounder
Ray Bennett is also looking to build on his 20-15 record and national championship appearance. Senior
Sean Reed returns at 133 pounds, and he ranked 31st in the nation a year ago with 12 pins.
All together, the Marauders return nine wrestlers that have started duals in the past and 11 wrestlers with collegiate experience.
