Box Score

Most of the action in the first half was in the Marauder half of the field, as Shippensburg outshot Millersville 12-4. Thanks to a strong effort by freshman goalkeeper Sara Dickinson, the teams were scoreless after the first half.

Shippensburg (6-1) got on the board first five minutes into the second half when Haas converted a penalty stroke. Millersville (0-5) got the equalizer seven minutes later off the stick of sophomore Emily Woodland.

The Raiders had many opportunities to score throughout the contest, but were denied by the Marauder defense, until there were just over four minutes to play. With Millersville down a player thanks to a yellow card, the Raiders converted off a penalty corner, with Haas scoring her second of the contest. The Raiders outshot the Marauders 21-8, and had a 16-4 advantage in penalty corners in the contest.
