One of the finest players in Millersville women's basketball history, Karen Armold Granzow held the Marauder career scoring record of 1,478 points for 12 years (it was eclipsed by Sara Burcin this past February).

A two-time Fast Break Division II All-American and All-PSAC Eastern Division First Team selection, Granzow saved her best for last in her senior season (1988-89) when she averaged 20.1 points per game and set three 'Ville season free throw marks: makes (213), attempts (247), and percentage (.862). On December 11, 1988, Granzow set an NCAA Division II single game free throw standard when she sank all 19 free throws to pace the Marauders to a 74-68 victory. She also received ECAC Division II South First Team and Kodak District II all-star honors.

In her career, Granzow sank an even 500 free throws, and her 79.2 percent accuracy mark remains a 'Ville all-time record.

Granzow was a member of the Marauders' 1987 PSAC championship squad that advanced to the NCAA Division II East Regional finals.

For three seasons (1997-2000), Granzow served as an assistant coach to former 'Ville cage star and teammate Peg Kauffman at Lebanon Valley College. The Lebanon, Pa. native was inducted into the Palmyra Area High School Sports Hall of Fame in 1995.

A 1989 graduate with a bachelor's of science in elementary education, Granzow is currently a product analyst for Quigley Corporation, Lebanon. She was formerly employed as a research scientist in the Analytical Research and Services Department at Hershey Foods Corporation.
