At the time she completed her collegiate career, Lutz held MU all-time marks in runs (74), hits (94), extra-base hits (42), RBI (70), total bases (172), and batting average (.352, currently 5th in MU annals). To this day, the Kutztown native holds the Marauder career standards for triples (16), home runs (12), and slugging percentage (.644). She also holds a share of the club season records for triples (7 in 1990) and home runs (5 in 1992).

Lutz also competed in the 1990 and 1992 ASA “B” fast pitch national tournaments (7th and 5th place team finishes, respectively). She also earned ASA All-America 3 rd Team honors both years.

In field hockey, Lutz was a two-time College Field Hockey Coaches Association Division II All-America 1st Team selection and earned all-region honors in 1991 (2nd Team, Division III) and 1992 (1st Team, Division II). She tallied 29 victories in three years as MU's starting goalkeeper and was named the Marauders' top defensive player in her junior and senior seasons.

Her nine shutouts in 1992 remains a ‘Ville season standard, and she ranks high in several career categories: victories (third, 29), shots faced (792, second), shutouts (23, second), saves (563, third), and save percentage (.893second, ).

In all, Lutz attained seven varsity letters at MU (three in field hockey, four in softball) and was a fixture in the starting lineup in both sports. She received the 1993 Elwood J. Finley Award as MU's outstanding senior female athlete. She received a bachelor's of science degree in biology and respiratory therapy in 1994.

Active in community endeavors, Lutz has served as a volunteer for the American Lung Association and as a volunteer assistant softball coach for the Kutztown Youth Athletic Assn. She holds membership in the American Assn. of Respiratory Care, the Pennsylvania Society of Respiratory Care, and the National Board of Respiratory Care.

Angela is a registered respiratory therapist in the adult, pediatric and neonatal critical care units at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown.
