Career Highlights

• PSAC East Freshman of the Year (2024) 

Freshman (2024)

• Excelled in all facets of the game as a rookie, earning PSAC East Freshman of the Year honors 
• One of two Marauders to start all 30 matches and finished third on the team with 302 kills 
• Recorded 10 or more kills in each of her first five matches and eight of her first nine including a 25-kill performance in a win over Jefferson on Sept. 11. That was the most by a Marauder in 2024 and the most since Abby Hafer had 32 in 1995
• Led the team and finished in a tie for seventh in the PSAC with 49 service aces and had a season & team high eight in her collegiate debut against Wilmington on Sept. 6
• Paced qualifying Marauders in receiving percentage with a mark of .956 on 482 attempts. 
• Finished third on the team in digs and fourth in total blocks with 296 & 38.0, respectively
• Had arguably her best performance of the season in the playoffs against Shepherd on Nov. 19; Schurig led all players with 20 kills while recording 13 digs and three service aces

High School

• Lettered in Volleyball
• Named Lockport's team MVP and earned All-Southwest Suburban Conference honors
• Team won the Regional Championship in 2023

• Why Millersville: I chose Millersville because of their marine biology program and volleyball program and because of how at home I felt when I was on campus!
• Off-the-court hobbies: Hiking, pickleball
